Republican Sanford losing in South Carolina after Trump calls for his ouster


By John Whitesides WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Representative Mark Sanford, a vocal critic of President Donald Trump, used to be losing a Republican congressional number one in South Carolina on Tuesday after Trump prompt electorate to punish Sanford’s disloyalty via tossing him from place of business. A couple of hours ahead of the polls closed, Trump tweeted that Sanford used to be “not anything however hassle” and “very unhelpful to me.” He sponsored Sanford’s pro-Trump challenger, state legislator Katie Arrington, for the Republican nomination for November’s congressional elections.
